The 24th Winter Olympic Games

Also known as the 2022 Winter Olympics, generally called the Beijing Winter Olympics. It will be held in Beijing, the capital of the People's Republic of China.

There's a set of 24 pictograms for the Olympic Winter Games identifies each of the disciplines across seven sports.

However, freestyle skiing and snowboard have six and five icons respectively in order to represent the different equipment and courses used in these disciplines.

Proverb

Hi everybody ~

Today I'm going to talk about 3 proverbs which I have never heard or understood before.

1. Two wrongs don't make a right

Meaning:
:: trying to get revenge on someone who has hurt you will only make things worse.

The way I use it:
:: Emma and Mia are friends, they like to play puzzles after school. When they find that the puzzle is misplaced, they will not blame each other, because two wrongs don't make a right. If they blame others, things will get worse.

2. Don't count your chickens before they hatch

Meaning:
:: Don’t expect a positive result before you actually see it

The way I use it:
:: I can answer all the questions in this exam, but don't count before the chickens hatch. I will prepare for the worst, even if my grades are not as good as I expected, it doesn’t matter, because I know I’ve tried my best.

3. Cleanliness is next to godliness

Meaning:
:: It's good to be clean. God is clean, and you should be too.

My way I use it:
:: Emilia and her family likes to clean their house every day. As the saying goes, cleanliness is next to godliness. So habitually cleaning the house every day is a habit that their family has cultivated since childhood.

Before I end this blog, I feel sorry if you see that I used the wrong words or any mistakes, thank you for coming my blog, goodbye~

5 things I learnt

 Hi everybody ~

Unexpectedly, I already have six blog posts!

On August 3rd, it was my first blog post about self-introduction, and the following ones were about wars and even songs. So I'm very fortunate that I can have my own blog post in this busy form sixth because of academic needs.

So I'm very grateful to the teachers for their dedication, especially our blog post instructor (MUET teacher 😂), Madam Audrey.

As this task, I will list out 5 things that I learnt along this grammar study journey.

   1. run a blog

Regarding the issue of running a blog, I actually had plans before the start of school, but because there was no suitable title, I never took action.
So when I heard madam said that we're going to make a blog, I was quite surprised. But at the same time I was a little worried because I was rather shy...

   2. edit video

Although it is not the first time to edit a video, the software used is different. It is not difficult to find that my last blog post was the theme of Malaysia National Day, and that was also the first time I used tiktok to publish short videos.
After publishing the video, I found that it is really not difficult, but if you wanna make a high-quality video, it is not an easy task. From choosing content to suitable music, even the caption of the short video before publishing needs to be very careful to get the support and like of most people.

   3. verb tense

To be honest, I still do something wrong until now. There are present, process, past, and participle tense in english grammar. Although basically adding 'ed' and 'ing' or replacing letters, there are countless english words, and not every word is in the rules.

   4. make a complete sentences

It's not difficult to make a simple sentence. It only requires three questions : who? what? where?
But it takes a lot to make a complete sentence. Connective words need to be added on the basis of the previous one. And also need to add : 'because' , 'so'.

   5. Confident

I put it at the last because it feels a bit inconsistent with today's theme haha~ As an introvert, I have finish recording a self-introducing video on the first task of school, I feel very brave 😂 At the same time, I'm very grateful to madam for trusting us, and believe that we will complete the tasks she gave~

And then........Thanks all~

Happy Independence Day

Hi everybody~  Happy Independence Day! 🇲🇾

August 31 is our country's Independence Day. It has been 64 years!!!

As a Malaysian, my classmates and I each made a short video with the theme of National Day. The following three are videos that I think are very special, creative and meaningful. (the last one is mine hehe)

The best video for me is from Sullivan.

His paintings are very creative. Using the black pen (marker pen maybe?) to draw Tunku Abdul Rahman which have shouted seven times "merdeka".

Second is Max.

He record his voice and edit it with the video which seems like a film. It is the best video if you wanna know more about National Day.

And the third one, Charles.

He is the only one who is full of confidence haha! He sing the song with the guitar as the background music, so just listen it enjoy it ya!

Last~ mine video yea~

I just combined the pictures and edit it, so hope you enjoy ya~😳

Again
Happy Independence Day!
Selamat Hari Kemerdekaan!

My favourite song

Hi everybody ~

In this blog I wanna share my favorite song so hope you will enjoy too~

--- 僕が死のうと思ったのは boku ga shi nouto omo tanoha

By Japanese female singer Mika Nakashima.

https://youtu.be/lnLDHIDOT00

official YouTube : https://youtu.be/akxBbFoABMw

The theme of this song is "In order to describe the strong hope, we must first describe the deep darkness". It is written that after many deep and negative aspects, it will finally usher in light and expectation.

I have prepared the lyrics, which are in trilingual (Japanese, English and Chinese). Just press the song name above and the pdf file will be opened automatically.

Actually I was a little hesitant when I plan to share this song. As a student, sharing songs on such themes would make people feel out of age... But I still wanna share with everyone. Not only the song, but also the spirit of not admitting defeat!

Osamu Dazai once said, The setting sun is irretrievable. But the next day the sun will still shine on the earth and bring light to the world.

Hope this song can help you, when you feel upset or helpless, just find someone to have a talk. Always remember, you are not alone!

#In this statement, I'm not her fan, but simply like what the song is meant to express, so if I make a mistake, please forgive me#

I have listened to this song many times while waiting this article, this song is really helping!  I wonder if you also have such a song that can open your heart?

English grammar

 Hi everybody~ welcome~

Today I want to share with you guys and girls about some english grammar rules and a table of tenses. ( just a sharing yaa)

Here's the tables I copied from "MUET My Way" page 7 - 9. Two of them are the basis of english, and they are also something that English novices need to know.

To be honest, although I can understand english, I'm  still a novice in front of these rules. In fact, these are the content taught by the primary school teachers, but I didn't listen carefully. (yaa my false😭)

So this time I must study hard! I will do more english practice, listen, read, write, and also hope my friends can urge me to improve my english grammar.

That's all,  thanks and goodbye~

My feelings and target to MUET test

Morning everyone~

Today I want to share my feelings and target to MUET test.

First, I feel overwhelmed and also little bit excited because I scare I can't make it well but then I like english so much!!😂

The easiest paper for me is listening and reading. Because these test just need to listen or read, no need to think many ideas like writing test. But then if the words is too hard to understand then I will need to take some time.

The hardest paper is speaking and writing,  because I will feel nervous and not confident when I face a lof of people. And also I'm poor idea to write a long paragraph.

Next, the target I want to score in MUET is Band 4. I know it is difficult for now but I trust that I can improve my english if I read more articles and watch english video or drama.

That's all, thank you and goodbye~~

War

Welcome to my world~

In this blog, let's talk about the impact of war on people.

What is war? War is a state of armed conflict between two or more countries or groups within a country.

According to the data, around 70 - 85 million people perished or about 3% of the 1940 world population in the World War II.

As shown in the picture, teenagers who were supposed to study because of the war are forced to raise their guns to protect themselves. In the age of war, no one can escape the flames of war. They could not choose what they liked. Every minute and every second of the moment is precious for them.

In the second picture, we can see a child who was seriously injured and even lost the ability to walk because of the war.

" The war will never be over, never, as long as somewhere a wound it had inflicted is still bleeding, " Heinrich Böll, Nobel Prize winner for literature in 1972. The wounded in the war, whether soldiers or civilians, cannot escape physical damage or even psychological damage.

After World War II, there are still small-scale wars in various countries. I feel very grateful. Although there are frequent disputes in our country, there has never been a war. This has allowed our people to live and work in peace and contentment until now.

Finally, as usual, if I make a typo or mistake in the content, I must say sorry, and thank you all for taking time to visit my blog. goodbye~

My 1st blog

Hi everybody~ Welcome to my world~

First at all, let me introduce myself.

My name is GIGI, and I'm 17 years old (4 days more to turn 18 hehe😂 ) Here is a video in case you want to know more about me ↓↓

Before I move to SABAH, I'm an active member of the Boy's Brigade (actually the uniforms of the Girl's Brigade is more beautiful😅 ) . This is our family photo.

Because I joined this big family, I learned a lot and got the opportunity to participate in the competition.

State and PESTA national drill competition ↓

And also band competition↓

In more than a year of training, we were able to tolerate each other. Even in the sun, we were all sweating, even if it raining, we persisted, to me, although it is only a short period of four or five years, it is of great significance.

In addition, I also have been invited to the school to perform with the team.

Other than that, I also like ice skating. I still remember when I set foot on the skating rink for the first time, I felt scared and insecure, but after a few attempts, I can slide freely in the ice. So I hope that one day in the future, I can join a skating team, and become a skater!💪

Finally, I'm sorry if there is a typo, and thanks for using your precious time to visit my world, wish you a good day~
